Gardiner, John James Russell

 

 

Born 21st November 1887 Kindred Tasmania to Peter and Mary Anne Gardiner (nee Russell) a labourer who departed Melbourne 30th September 1916 on board “HMAT Palermo” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

 

Admitted to the 1st Australian Field ambulance 24th April 1918 with shell wounds which fractured the right arm and a compound fractured leg and died the same day.

He was buried in the Caestre Military Cemetery, France.
