Garlick, Lionel

Born 20^th October 1889 Hobart Tasmania the son of William John and Jane Garlick (nee Hobden) he embarked Melbourne 10^th November 1914 on board “HMAT Ascanius” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

He was serving with the 52^nd Battalion when he was killed in action 7^th June 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated in the Messines Ridge British Cemetery, Belgium

GARLICK. -Killed in action on the 7th June, in France, Lionel, the beloved third son of W. and the late J. Garlick, in the 28th year of his age. Bravely he fought and fell.
