Garlick, Lionel 

 

 

Born 20th October 1889 Hobart Tasmania the son of William John and Jane Garlick (nee Hobden) he embarked Melbourne 10th November 1914 on board “HMAT Ascanius” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was serving with the 52nd Battalion when he was killed in action 7th June 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated in the Messines Ridge British Cemetery, Belgium

GARLICK. -Killed in action on the 7th June, in France, Lionel, the beloved third son   of W. and the late J. Garlick, in the 28th year of his age. Bravely he fought and fell.
