Gilbert, Keith Nile

 

Born 1890 Ulverstone Tasmania and married to Rosie May Chilcott he embarked Melbourne 19th February 1916 on board “HMAT Ballarat” with the 12th Infantry Battalion. 

He was killed in action 6th December 1916 in France and is commemorated in the Bulls Road Cemetery, Flers, Albert Bapaume Area, France

Amongst the list of men killed in action appearing in Monday morning's is news is that of Keith N. Gilbert, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Gilbert, Patrick-street, Ulverstone, who enlisted some 18 months ago, he was married, and leaves s widow and two children, who at prevent reside in Victoria. The fallen soldier was a member of the Ulverstone Lodge.
