Gilham Arthur Herbert
Born 27th March 1889 Launceston Tasmania to George Chaffey and Mary Ann Gilham (nee Reeves) engineering salesman who embarked Melbourne 11th May 1917 on board “HMAT Shropshire” with the 3rd Machine Gun Company He was serving with the 9th Battalion when he was killed in action 10th August 1918 and is commemorated in the Heath Cemetery, Harbonnieres, France.
