Gilham Arthur Herbert

Born 27^th March 1889 Launceston Tasmania to George Chaffey and Mary Ann Gilham (nee Reeves) engineering salesman who embarked Melbourne 11^th May 1917 on board “HMAT Shropshire” with the 3^rd Machine Gun Company

He was serving with the 9^th Battalion when he was killed in action 10^th August 1918 and is commemorated in the Heath Cemetery, Harbonnieres, France.
