Gilham, Charles Henry Roy

Private Charles Henry Gilham

 

Born 3rd April 1897 Zeehan Tasmania the son of Henry William and Robina Gilham (nee Lemin) a labourer he embarked Melbourne 5th January 1916 on board “HMAT Afric” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was serving with the 52nd Infantry Battalion when he was killed in action 3rd September 1916 at Moquet Farm and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France
