Gill William Alexander
The son of William Samuel and Elizabeth Gill (nee Davis) of Launceston a 29 year old labourer he enlisted Melbourne and embarked with the 7th Battalion later transferring to the 50th Battalion. He was killed in action 19th July 1916 and is commemorated on the V.C. Corner Australian Cemetery Memorial, Fromelles, France
