Glennon, William Robert

Born 14^th February 1890 Sorell Tasmania the son of Fanny Maria Brown and married to Amelia Myrtle Jamieson with one child (his first wife Elsie Annie Jamieson who had 4 children by him died in 1915) a telegraph linesman he embarked Melbourne 30^th September 1916 on board “HMAT Suffolk” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.  He had served three years with the 6^th Field Engineers before enlisting.

He was killed in action 6^th April 1917 in France and is commemorated on the  Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Villers-Bretonneux Area, France.
