Glennon, William Robert
Born 14th February 1890 Sorell Tasmania the son of Fanny Maria Brown and married to Amelia Myrtle Jamieson with one child (his first wife Elsie Annie Jamieson who had 4 children by him died in 1915) a telegraph linesman he embarked Melbourne 30th September 1916 on board “HMAT Suffolk” with the 12th Infantry Battalion. He had served three years with the 6th Field Engineers before enlisting.
He was killed in action 6th April 1917 in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Villers-Bretonneux Area, France.
