Goldsmith, Charles Montague
Born 12th June 1894 Waratah Tasmania the son of Edward and Elizabeth Goldsmith (nee O’Halloran) a carpenter he embarked Sydney 14th June 1917 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.
He served three and a half years in the cadets and two years in the Citizen Military Forces.
He was killed in action 28th March 1918 in France and is commemorated in the Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-L'Abbe, Peronne, France
