Goodey Walter John

Born 14^th March 1892 Epping Forrest Tasmania the son of Walter John and Alice Goodey (nee Cowdrey) a labourer he embarked Hobart 1^st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion

On 21^st September 1917 he was appointed Lance Corporal.

He was killed in action 13^th October 1917 at Passchendaele Belgium and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium
