Gower, John Donald

 

 

Born 27th January 1897 Latrobe Tasmania the son of James Henry and Sarah Ann Gower (nee Pugh) he embarked Melbourne 27th October 1915 on board “HMAT Ulysses” with the 12th Infantry Battalion

 

He died 29th July 1916 at the 13th General Hospital Boulogne France from wounds received at Pozieres and was buried in the Boulogne Eastern Cemetery

 

His brother Pte William Harold Gower (No 14604) died 4th November 1918 in England from pneumonia and was buried in the Rotherham (Moorgate) Cemetery, United Kingdom
