Gower, John Donald

Born 27^th January 1897 Latrobe Tasmania the son of James Henry and Sarah Ann Gower (nee Pugh) he embarked Melbourne 27^th October 1915 on board “HMAT Ulysses” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion

He died 29^th July 1916 at the 13^th General Hospital Boulogne France from wounds received at Pozieres and was buried in the Boulogne Eastern Cemetery

His brother Pte William Harold Gower (No 14604) died 4^th November 1918 in England from pneumonia and was buried in the Rotherham (Moorgate) Cemetery, United Kingdom
