Gregory Sydney Vincent Born 24th January 1883 Richmond Tasmania to George and Ellen Gregory (nee Siggs) and married to Georgina Taylor Collins, a butcher who enlisted in New Zealand with the 1st Battalion Canterbury Regiment He departed Wellington New Zealand 26th April 1917 on board “Tofua” with the 25th Reinforcements F Company. He was killed in action by machine gun fire 24th August 1918 at Baupaume and is commemorated in the Beaulencourt British Cemetery, Ligny-Thilloy, France.
