Groom, Ernest Cecil
Born Natal South Africa to Fred Fletcher Groom and married to Gertrude Elizabeth Rose Finter, a farmer he embarked Melbourne 5th January 1916 on board “HMAT Afric” with the 12th Infantry Battalion. He died 7th May 1917 at the 3rd Australian Casualty Clearing Station of shell wounds to the right arm, head and leg and was buried in the Grevillers British Cemetery
