Groom, Ernest Cecil

Born Natal South Africa to Fred Fletcher Groom and married to Gertrude Elizabeth Rose Finter, a farmer he embarked Melbourne 5^th January 1916 on board “HMAT Afric” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

He died 7^th May 1917 at the 3^rd Australian Casualty Clearing Station of shell wounds to the right arm, head and leg and was buried in the Grevillers British Cemetery
