Gurr, Alfred Edward

He was born Cressy Tasmania the son of Henry Gurr, a labourer who departed Hobart 28^th October 1914 on board “HMAT Geelong with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

A Court of Enquiry dated 5^th June 1916 found he had been killed in action 25^th April 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
