Haberle, Arthur Herbert

 

 

 

 

 

Born 16th March 1899 Ulverstone Tasmania the son of Charles and Caroline Louisa Haberle (nee Banfield) a farmer he embarked Melbourne 20th October 1916 on board “HMAT Port Lincoln” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was killed in action 3rd November 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial.

 

His brother Pte Charles Henry Haberle of the 25th Battalion returned to Australia on the 31st August 1915.
