Hales, Raymond Angus

 

Born 26th April 1893 Penguin Tasmania to James Henry and Eliza Hales (nee Hall)

He was a labourer and embarked Melbourne 29th March 1916 onboard “RMS Orontes” with the 12th Infantry Battalion

 

He was first listed as missing in action which was later changed to killed in action 14th August 1916 and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France
