Halton William August

 

 

Born 1880 Cygnet Tasmania the son of Thomas and Mary Halton (nee Strong) married with one child an electric linesman he embarked Melbourne 30th September 1916 on board “HMAT Suffolk” with the 12th Infantry Battalion

 

He was killed in action 6th April 1917 in France and is commemorated in the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Villers-Bretonneux Area, France
