Hamilton, Arthur Lyne

Born 22^nd March 1889 Emu Bay Tasmania the son of William David and Elizabeth Hannah Hamilton a farmer he embarked Brisbane 24^th May 1915 on board “HMAT Ascanius” with the 26^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 5^th August 1916 in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France

His brother Charles David Lyne Hamilton (No 335) embarked same day and was killed in action 29^th July 1915 in France and is also commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France
