Hamilton, Robert Francis

Born 1892 Ulverstone Tasmania the son of Robert and Honara Hamilton (nee Connolly) married he embarked Hobart 8^th May 1916 on board “HMAT Seang Choon” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 7^th October 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Flanders, Belgium

His brother Cpl Thomas Hamilton was killed in action 6^th October 1917 in Polygon Wood and is commemorated in the Buttes New British Cemetery, Polygon Wood, Belgium
