Hardman, Roy

 

Born 17th August 1893 Brighton Tasmania the son of Tasman Alfred and Isabella Hardman (nee Boyd) a farmer he embarked Melbourne 2nd February 1915 on board “HMAT Clan McGillivray” with the 15th Infantry Battalion.

 

He died 5th May 1915 on board Hospital Ship “Garcon” from wounds received on the Gallipoli Peninsula and was buried at sea.  He is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli Peninsula, Canakkale Province, Turkey
