Harper, Ernest George
Born 1896 Launceston Tasmania the son of Ernest and Alice May Harper (nee Smith) a warehouse salesman he enlisted and embarked Sydney 9th April 1916 on board “HMAT Nestor” with the 30th Infantry Battalion.
He was killed in action 25th November 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated in the Birr Cross Roads Cemetery, West-Vlaanderen, Flanders, Belgium Mrs. Harper, 25 Wardell Road, Petersham, has received news that her son, Private Ernest George Harper has been killed. He was an employee of Messrs Henry Bull and Co.
