Studio portrait of 1199 Private (Pte) Neville Mackersey Harrison in civilian dress. A farmer from Flowerdale, Tas, Pte Harrison enlisted on 6 October 1914. He embarked with the 15th Battalion, H Company, on 22 December 1914 from Melbourne, Vic, aboard the HMAT Ceramic (A40) . Pte Harrison died of illness on 16 October 1915 at the No 3 General Hospital, Lemnos. He was 23 years old.
