Hawke Ernest

Born 6^th May 1882 Ringarooma the son of William and Johanna Hawke (nee Smillie) married to Annie Amiee Chilcott a teacher he enlisted New Zealand and served with the Canterbury Infantry Battalion.

He died 1^st May 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and was buried in Walker’s Ridge Cemetery.

His wife and children later returned to Tasmania
