Hayward, Ebenzer Joseph
Born 1893 Bridgewater Tasmania the son Frederick and Mary Ann Hayward (nee Marvell) a policeman he embarked Melbourne 11th May 1917 on board “HMAT Ascanius” with the 15th Machine Gun Company. Cpl Hayward was killed in action 19th September 1918 in France and is commemorated in the Cerisy-Gailly French National Cemetery, France.
