Heffernan, Thomas George
Born 1890 New Norfolk Tasmania the son of Thomas and Mary Ann Heffernan (nee Butler) a labourer he embarked Melbourne 7th September 1916 on board “HMAT Port Sydney” with the 14th Field Artillery Brigade.
He died 1st October 1917 in the 3rd Australian Field Ambulance Belgium from multiple shell wounds and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
