Heffernan, Thomas George

Born 1890 New Norfolk Tasmania the son of Thomas and Mary Ann Heffernan (nee Butler) a labourer he embarked Melbourne 7^th September 1916 on board “HMAT Port Sydney” with the 14^th Field Artillery Brigade.

He died 1^st October 1917 in the 3^rd Australian Field Ambulance Belgium from multiple shell wounds and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
