HENLEY, CHARLES VICTOR

 

 

 

 

Studio portrait of 1836 Private (Pte) Charles Victor Henley, 12th Battalion, of Hobart, Tasmania. A warehouse assistant prior to enlisting on 20 January 1915, he embarked from Fremantle aboard HMAT Argyllshire (A8) with the 4th Reinforcements on 19 April 1915. Pte Henley was killed in action at Flers, France, on 19 August 1916, aged 20.
