Harry Lyell Henry

 

Born 20th July 1897 Devonport Tasmania the son of Frederick Ormiston and Mary Alice Henry (nee Lewis) a grocer he embarked Melbourne 6th December 1916 on board “HMAT Orsova” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.

 

He listed his next of kin as his brother Frederick Henry of Strahan Tasmania.

 

He was killed in action 4th October 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium
