Herbert William Ronald
Born Hobart Tasmania the son of Jonathon Thomas and Florence Eliza Herbert (nee Elliott) a 23 year old clerk he embarked Brisbane 5th October 1915 on board “HMAT Warilda” with the 26th Infantry Battalion.
He died 2nd August 1916 as a prisoner of war from wounds received in the field and was buried in the Achiet-Le_Grand Communal Cemetery Extension France.
