Hobbs, Leslie Edward John 

 

 

Born 1897 Somerset Tasmania the son of Edward and Mary Ann Hobbs (nee Weeks) he enlisted when he was 17 and embarked Sydney on board “HMAT Runic” with the 1st Divisional Ammunition Column

Driver Hobbs was serving with the 3rd Brigade Australian Field Artillery when he died 11th January 1918 from pneumonia after three and a half years active service in England and was buried in the Idmiston (All Saints) Churchyard, United Kingdom.
