Hodgetts, Harold James
Born 2nd April 1893 Burnie Tasmania the son of Alman Albert and Jane Elizabeth Hodgetts (nee Davies) a labourer he enlisted Melbourne Victoria and embarked from there on the 10th November 1915 on board “HMAT Ascanius” with the 29th Infantry Battalion.
He was killed in action 1st December 1916 when he was hit by a high explosive shell and died instantly. He is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France
