Holden Gordon Roy

 

 

Born 1895 Launceston Tasmania to William Charles and Maria Hold(er)en (nee Ion) a plasterer living in Melbourne he embarked Melbourne 2nd October 1916 on board “HMAT Nestor” with the 60th Infantry Battalion

He was hit by a shell 25th July 1918 and killed instantly.  He was buried close to where he was hit and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
