Holland, Alfred Edgar

 

 

Born Launceston Tasmania the son of Edward James and Annie Holland (nee Davis) a brewer’s assistant who embarked Melbourne 24th November 1915 on board RMS Orontes with the 15th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 19th October 1917 and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.

 His brother Sidney George Holland (No 800) was killed in action 28th July 1918 in France and is commemorated on the Crucifix Corner Cemetery, Villers-Bretonneux, France.
