Horsley John Thomas

Born Launceston Tasmania the son of Joseph Horsley a labourer he enlisted Claremont Tasmania 24^th February 1915 and embarked Brisbane 29^th June 1915 on board “HMAT Aeneas” with the 26^th Infantry Battalion.

He died 22^nd July 1915 en route to Egypt on board “HMAT Aeneas” from spinal cerebro meningitis and was buried at sea.

He is commemorated on the Chatby Memorial, Alexandria, Egypt.
