Horsley John Thomas
Born Launceston Tasmania the son of Joseph Horsley a labourer he enlisted Claremont Tasmania 24th February 1915 and embarked Brisbane 29th June 1915 on board “HMAT Aeneas” with the 26th Infantry Battalion. He died 22nd July 1915 en route to Egypt on board “HMAT Aeneas” from spinal cerebro meningitis and was buried at sea. He is commemorated on the Chatby Memorial, Alexandria, Egypt.
