Howard Anthony
Born 5th November 1882 Ulverstone Tasmania the son of Stephen and Sarah Edith Howard (nee Riggs) married to Lucy Mabel Smith a 31 year old labourer he embarked Hobart 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.
He returned to Australia 3rd July 1917 after receiving a gunshot wound to the head and died 13th April 1919 at the Devon Hospital Latrobe and was buried in the Devonport Old Public Cemetery, Devonport,
