Hyland, Michael Flourence
Born 17th August 1892 Oatlands Tasmania the son of Michael Edmund and Mary Anne Hyland (nee McAuliffe) a labourer he embarked Melbourne 25th October 1916 on board “HMAT Ulysses” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.
He was killed in action 12th October 1917 at Passchendaele in Belgium and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Flanders, Belgium
