Hyland, Michael Flourence

Born 17^th August 1892 Oatlands Tasmania the son of Michael Edmund and Mary Anne Hyland (nee McAuliffe) a labourer he embarked Melbourne 25^th October 1916 on board “HMAT Ulysses” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 12^th October 1917 at Passchendaele in Belgium and is commemorated on the  Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Flanders, Belgium
