IZARD, GEORGE EDWARD

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Studio portrait of 4519 Private (Pte) George Edward Izard, 14th Reinforcements, 12th Battalion, of Evandale, Tas. Pte Izard served with the 92nd Infantry Battalion of the AMF before his enlistment in the AIF on 9 October 1915. He embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Warilda on 8 February 1916. On 25 August 1917 he died of wounds at No. 1 Australian Casualty Clearing Station, Trois Arbres, near Steenwerk in France
