Jaffray, William

 

 

Born 24th April 1885 Derby Tasmania the son of William Park and Ellen Fanny Jaffray (nee Dodd) a timber worker he embarked Hobart Tasmania 8th August 1916 on board “HMAT Ballarat” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was killed in action 13th October 1917 at Passchendaele in Belgium and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Flanders, Belgium
