HUONVILLE SOLDIER KILLED A recent casualty list issued by the Defence Department contains the name of Corporal Len James who enlisted from Huonville about two years ago, and has been killed in action in France. Corpl James was only 19 years of age when he enlisted, and after taking part in the Gallipoli campaign he went to France and acted as one of the observers for his company. Up to the time he was killed he had neither been ill nor wounded. He was a fine type of manhood, being one of the best athletes in the district and had a most attractive disposition. Great sympathy is felt for the parents in the loss of such a promising son. Huon News 18th May 1917
