James, George Henry

Born Longford Tasmania the son of William and Sopia James (nee Lockhart) he listed his sister Sophia James as his next of kin he embarked Melbourne 21^st August 1915 on board “HMAT Kyarra” with the 15^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 19^th May 1918 in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France

His brother Sergeant Alick Thomas James 16^th June 1917 from wounds received at Messines and was buried in the Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, France
