King, Mervyn Douglas
Born 24th October 1887 Beaconsfield Tasmania the son of John Campbell and Harriet King (nee Brown) and married to Gladys Vera Jones an accountant he enlisted Victoria and embarked Melbourne 7th March 1916 on board “HMAT Wiltshire” with the 5th Infantry Battalion and the rank of 2nd Lieutenant.
He was killed by shellfire 18th August 1916 at Pozieres in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France
