King Henry Kirkham

Born 1889 Hobart Tasmania the son of George and Eliza King (nee Saunders) a labourer he embarked Brisbane 13^th February 1915 on board “HMAT Seang Bee” with the 9^th Infantry Battalion.

He served 5 years in the Australian Royal Navy and was wounded and evacuated from the Gallipoli Peninsula and rejoined his unit in France.

He died 24^th April 1918 in France from wounds received at Meteran and was buried in the Ebblinghem Military Cemetery, Ebblinghem, Nord, France
