King Henry Kirkham
Born 1889 Hobart Tasmania the son of George and Eliza King (nee Saunders) a labourer he embarked Brisbane 13th February 1915 on board “HMAT Seang Bee” with the 9th Infantry Battalion.
He served 5 years in the Australian Royal Navy and was wounded and evacuated from the Gallipoli Peninsula and rejoined his unit in France.
He died 24th April 1918 in France from wounds received at Meteran and was buried in the Ebblinghem Military Cemetery, Ebblinghem, Nord, France
