King Stanley Byfield

Born 9^th April 1896 Stanley Tasmania the son of Charles Nicholas King and Lucy Jessamine Perriman (nee Smith) a labourer he enlisted Queensland 24^th June 1915 and embarked Melbourne 9^th November 1915 with the 31^st Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 20^th July 1916 in France (previously reported missing) and is commemorated VC Corner Australian Cemetery and Memorial, Fromelles, Lille, Nord Pas de Calais, France
