Born 29^th June 1894 Hamilton Tasmania to John Henry and Charlotte Gladstone Kitchin (nee Clarke) an electrician he enlisted and embarked Melbourne 19^th October 1914 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 6^th Infantry Battalion.

Cpl Kitchin was killed in action 25^th April 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
