Kitchin Hedley Vernon
“Lost Anzacs” by Greg Kerr
Born 29th June 1894 Hamilton Tasmania to John Henry and Charlotte Gladstone Kitchin (nee Clarke) an electrician he enlisted and embarked Melbourne 19th October 1914 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 6th Infantry Battalion. Cpl Kitchin was killed in action 25th April 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
