Kitto James Victor

 

Born 8th May 1886 George Town Tasmania to Thomas Luke and Hannah Maria Kitto (nee Bickham) he enlisted Waihi New Zealand and embarked 16th October 1914 on board “Star of India” with the Auckland 1st Infantry Battalion bound for Suez Egypt.

 

He was killed in action 8th May 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated in the Redoubt Cemetery, Helles, Turkey.
