Knight John

 

 

 

Born 7th November 1885 the son of John and Gertrude Margaret Knight (nee Williams) of Evandale a 26 year old labourer he embarked Melbourne 29th March 1916 on board RMS Orontes

with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was killed in action 11th December 1916 in France and like others with no known grave is commemorated on the Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France
