Lazenby, Robert James Bertram

 

 

Born 1886 Sandford Tasmania the son of James and Eliza Ann Lazenby (nee Lawrence) and married to Sarah Winifred Hanslow a sailor he embarked Melbourne 23rd December 1916 on board RMS Orontes with the 15th Machine Gun Company.

He died 9th August 1918 at the 13th General Hospital in France from gunshot wounds to the head chest and left arm and was buried in the Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille, France.

Mr. James Hanslow of Cambridge has received official notice that his son in-law, Private Robert James Lazenby who enlisted in October 1916, has died of wounds at the United States General Hospital in France.
