Leedham Henry Francis

 

Born 2nd July 1895 Ross Tasmania the son of William Ernest and Elizabeth Mary Leedham (nee Smith) he had made navy his career and had reached the rank of Leading Stoker.

He died 26th October 1918 at Genoa Italy from pneumotic influenza and was buried in the Staglieno Cemetery, Italy. 

 

Mrs E F Smith of Portugal Street Ross has been advised by the naval board that information has been received by cable of the death of her grandson Leading Stoker Henry Francis Leedham of the Royal Australian Navy from influenza in hospital in Genoa on October 26th.  The deceased had been over five years in the navy and was progressing well in his branch of the profession.  Great sympathy is expressed for the bereaved ones.  The flag at the Ross Town Hall was flown at half mast.
