Levis, James William

 

 

Born 1889 Hobart Tasmania the son of Young and Mary Virginia Levis (nee Smith) a carpenter he embarked Brisbane 5th October 1915 on board “HMAT Warilda” with the 26th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was killed in action 29th July 1916 at Pozieres France (previously reported missing) and is commemorated in the Bouzincourt Communal Cemetery Extension, Albert, Picardie, France
