Lewis, Alfred Henry

Born 1895 Evandale Tasmania the son of George Henry and Emily Mary Lewis a farm worker he embarked Fremantle 19^th April 1915 on board “HMAT Argyllshire” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

He died 20^th October 1915 on board the hospital ship “Nevasa” from pneumonia after falling ill on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
