Lewis, Robert Nelson

Born 15^th April 1897 Osterley Tasmania the son of Robert and Bridget Emma Lewis (nee Wrigley) a railway clerk he embarked Melbourne 21^st October 1916 on board “HMAT Port Melbourne” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

Cpl Lewis was killed in action 12^th August 1918 in France and is commemorated in the Villers-Bretonneux Military Cemetery, Villers-Bretonneux, Villers-Bretonneux Area, France
