Lewis Henry Herbert Evan
Born 1st July 1896 Launceston the son of John Wherrett and Henrietta Lewis (nee Warringham) a 19 year old driver he enlisted Victoria and embarked with the 6th Battalion later transferring to the 15th Brigade Machine Gun Company. He was killed in action 20th July 1916 and is commemorated in the Rue-Du-Bois Military Cemetery Fleurbaix, France
